Our Story

Mazama Outdoors was founded by a few outdoor enthusiasts during the particularly long Winter of 2009. They wanted high-quality and affordable rack systems to carry gear safely and securely to their destination. Inspired by the legendary Mount Mazama en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Mazama and the spectacular and unlimited outdoor recreation potential of the Pacific Northwest, the Mazama team set out to design and field a line of rack systems for bike, snow, and water sport enthusiast.

We’re uniquely positioned to cater to the demands of surfers, sailers, paddlers, mountain bikers, road cyclists, cyclocrossers, skiers and snowboarders at some of the World’s premier destinations for outdoors people. From the Portland metro area you can reach the Oregon coast, the Columbia Gorge, Mount Bachelor, or the Deschutes River in a few hours. These epic destinations give us plenty of reasons to test our equipment in the field and apply what we learn to improving our products. Our mission is to create rack systems that are functional, high-quality, secure, and affordable.
